Frequently Asked Questions

If this is the first time you've had a need for a private investigator, you probably have a lot of questions about how we work and what services are included. This page should help provide answers to the questions that we most often receive.

Private investigations rely on a variety of tools, with surveillance being a key component in gathering reliable and unbiased information. A professional investigator must be prepared to report on their findings and, if necessary, provide testimony regarding the validity of the evidence collected.

Courts have strict rules on the admissibility of evidence, making it essential that surveillance and investigative work are conducted impartially by an independent party. Effective surveillance can confirm details, uncover new information, and reveal critical relationships that advance an investigation.

Additionally, private investigators work alongside attorneys when needed, ensuring that their findings support legal strategies. While client-provided information is valuable, investigators have access to specialized databases that verify details, uncover new leads, and strengthen the overall case.

Please read through the FAQ list below, and if you still have any unanswered questions, use the form at the bottom of the page to contact us.

When will my investigation begin?

In most situations, an investigator can start your case upon receipt of your signed retainer agreement and the agreed upon retainer payment. We work with our clients to provide investigations as needed, working within the required time frames for your case.

What is the minimum amount of hours required in surveillance?

The minimum amount of hours required in our surveillance investigation is four.

How much will an investigation cost?

Every case is different. Determining the fee for a particular investigation is estimated after a free consultation. After we understand your particular situation, ask you some questions and understand your goals, we will be able to give you a quote.

Can you guarantee results?

It is impossible to predict what any investigation will uncover prior to immersing ourselves into the case. We agree to use our best efforts in the course of the investigation to collect the information. However, we cannot guarantee the outcome of the investigation.

Will I get pictures or video?

Yes, video/photo captured by the investigator will accompany the written report.

Will I receive status updates on the investigation?

Yes, in a discreet method we agree upon during the initial consultation. When your case is completed, you will be provided with a final report. We prepare the reports, video/photo files and attachments in an evidentiary manner for you (and use in court if needed).
